INTAROS researchers from Mathias Goeckede's group at MPI-BGC in Jena are heading off on an expedition to Station North on Greenland later this week. The mission will run from August 24 to September 04.

Martijn Pallandt, a member of the team, previously recounted a story about his experiences working in the remote Arctic. If you missed it, you can find it again here.

The purpose of this trip is the installation of an automated atmospheric flask sampler, which helps to sample the Arctic atmosphere and contributes to our scientific understanding of climate change worldwide. This expedition is linked to a previous trip to Ambarchik in Siberia 2 summers ago.
